Pricing Information

$1 Million per claim / $3 Million annual aggregate
RIA: Provides coverage for a named insured for acts as a fee based "financial planner", "registered investment adviser" and "associated person" providing non-discretionary investment advisory services, including the use of sub-advisors.
  • Discretionary investment advisory services coverage only provided for the purchase or sale of mutual funds, publicly traded stocks, publicly traded bonds and publicly traded REITS (on an exchange); covered calls, protective puts, and regular Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs);
  • Limited leveraged or inverse ETFs or ETNs coverage, as provided by the Leveraged and Inverse Securities Endorsement.
  • Also includes coverage for acts as a "life insurance agent" selling fixed and indexed life, accident, health, long term care, disability amd, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans.
  • Coverage Purchased in the name of an RIA Firm extends to employed IARs and/or independent contractors, but only while acting on behalf of the covered Firm

  • At the time of enrollment, each agent will be required to make a non-refundable payment in the amount of the first month’s premium (minimum earned premium). Administrative fees and minimum earned premium are non-refundable.
  • Pricing shown above is for is based on a coverage limit of $1,000,000 per wrongful act / $3,000,000 annual aggregate and for RIAs with gross revenues under $250,000.
  • Prices include $140.00 in RPG and administrative fees For RIAs earning less than $250,000 in gross revenues.
    Prices include $165.00 in RPG and administrative fees For RIAs earning more than $250,000 in gross revenues.
  • Down payment refers to monthly payment option. Your down payment includes one month's premium, RPG and administrative fees and a $5.00 monthly processing fee. Down payments will be processed immediately; monthly deductions as shown above will begin the 3rd of the month after the enrollment effective date.

    *Policy aggregate limit of liability is not applicable to those agents and registered representatives who are residents of or practice in New York State.

  • Vicarious liability is provided for an entity owned or controlled by an individual insured representative who is listed on the policy as an individual insured
  • Extended Reporting Period(s) available
  • Defense costs reduce the limit of liability and are subject to the retention. Punitive damages are not covered by the policy. Refer to the policy form for the definition of defense costs and punitive damages.
  • Provides coverage for named insured's present, former or future employees who is not a financial services professional, but only while acting within the course and scope the duties as an employee of the named insured or a representative named on this policy.
  • Instant certificate of insurance for qualified applicants
  • Includes Cost of Corrections Coverage. Each insured will have a $50,000 per wrongful act/$50,000 per insured limit subject to a $500,000 annual policy aggregate and a $25,000 retention.
  • Important: This is a claims made and reported policy. Claims must be submitted immediately in writing to the insurer. Coverage only applies to claims first made during the policy period. Claims must be reported during the policy period; or, during an extended reporting period (ERP). Prior acts are covered back to the first day of continuous E&O coverage. Please refer to the policy form for claim reporting provisions and definition of a claim, prior acts definition, and ERP details.

  • $1 Million per claim / $3 Million annual aggregate

Deductibles and Retentions

  • $0 retention for wrongful acts only involving fixed life, accident & health, disability, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, and long term care products.
  • $5,000 retention for wrongful acts involves variable products, mutual funds or other securities that can be sold as a series 6 registered representative.

Payment Options

  • Pay in full or choose monthly payments via credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT). For those customers that select the monthly payment option, your credit card or EFT will be processed on the 3rd business day of each month.
