    Key Reasons You May Need Professional Liability Insurance

    • Misrepresentation
      • Advising a client a certain job pays $x.xx, but really pays $y.yy. A client can sue you for the difference in lost wages.
      • If you as the staffing agency advised there is a certain incentive (sign-on bonus) for new hires at a certain company, and that company no longer offers the incentives, suit can be brought against you for misrepresentation.
    • Negligence
      • Failure to conduct a proper criminal background check. An employer can file suit if an employee you recommended is found stealing, embezzling, or conducting other fraudulent acts.
