$2 Million License Protection and Defense
Premium Coverage Opt 1 (Includes Basic & Choice Coverage) - Civil Legal Liability: Includes license protection & defense costs of $2,000,000 and $10,000 of fines and penalties coverage PLUS $50,000 of Civil & Criminal Defense and $100,000 of Civil legal liability.

- At the time of enrollment, each enrollee will be required to make a non-refundable payment in the amount of the first month’s premium (minimum earned premium). Administrative fees and minimum earned premium are non-refundable.
- Pricing includes a $40.00 program administration fee. Down payment refers to the monthly payment option. Your down payment includes one month's premium, administrative fees and a $5.00 monthly processing fee. Down payments will be processed immediately; monthly deductions, as shown above, will begin on the third of the month after the enrollment effective date.

- $2,000,000 Limit of Liability for Marine License Protection & Defense Costs Coverage
- $10,000 limit for Fines & Penalties (included)

Optional Loss of Income (includes $35 per day subsistence allowance)
- $2,000 Option -$15 annually
- $5,000 Option -$38 annually
- $10,000 Option -$75 annually
- Important: This is an Occurrence based policy and under this type of policy coverage is afforded for covered claims where the reported incident occurs within the purchased certificate coverage period, regardless of when the claim is reported to the insurance company. Any incidents that occur before or after the purchased certificate coverage period are not covered.
Deductibles and Retentions
- $0 Deductible for License Protection and Defense, Foreign Jurisdiction Coverage ($5,000 Coverage Limit), Civil and Criminal Defense, Civil Legal Liability, and Loss of Income & Subsistence Allowance.
- $250 deductible each claim for loss of personal property ($5,000 coverage limit and $1,000 sublimit per item)
- 10% of combined total fines and penalties.
Payment Options
- Pay in full or choose monthly payments via credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT). For those customers that select the monthly payment option, your credit card or EFT will be processed on the third of each month.

- Coverage is underwritten by Berkley Offshore Underwriting Managers on behalf of StarNet Insurance Company, whose member insurance companies are rated A+ (Superior), Financial Size Category XV by A.M. Best Company.
- This coverage is placed with an admitted carrier. Please reference the A.M. Best rating and disclosures link below for an explanation of admitted and non-admitted carriers.

- Program administrative services include policy review and issuance, premium billing and invoicing, mid-term policy changes, coordination and issuance of certificates of insurance, online enrollment and account management and a dedicated customer support team with phone, chat and online contact features.
- To report a claim, please contact Berkley Offshore by phone at (212) 618-2960 during normal business hours, or at (347) 380-0857 for 24/7 Emergency Claims Service. Once the claim has been initially reported, please fill out the Claims Reporting Form and return the completed form to the email address listed on the document.
